How to Play

Score each at-bat. Earn points for accuracy and speed.

Keeper◆Game is a live baseball scoring game. Before the MLB result is revealed, you submit your call for each at-bat using standard baseball scoring notation. The faster and more accurate you are, the more points you earn.

Points System

10 pts

Correct play type + exact notation

e.g. you called 6-4-3 and it was 6-4-3

7 pts

Correct first fielder on a ground out or double play

e.g. you called 6-3, actual was 6-4-3

5 pts

Partial credit — close but not exact

Adjacent outfield zone, same fielder different prefix, correct infield category

0 pts

Wrong play type

Called a strikeout, it was a home run

Speed Bonus

Submit your call quickly after the at-bat ends to earn a speed bonus on top of your base points.

Under 15 seconds

+3 pts

15 – 30 seconds

+1 pt

30 – 60 seconds

+0 pts

Over 60 seconds

Base points still apply

Speed bonus only applies when you score the play live — catch-up plays scored after the fact receive 0 speed bonus.

Partial Credit Rules

You don't have to be perfect to earn points. Here's how partial credit works for each play type:

Fly Outs (F7, F8, F9)

10 pts

Exact fielder match

Called F8, was F8

5 pts

Adjacent zone

Called F7, was F8 — left field neighbors center field

0 pts

Wrong zone

Called F7, was F9 — opposite corners

Ground Outs & Force Outs (e.g. 4-3, 6-4-3)

10 pts

Exact chain match

Called 4-3, was 4-3

7 pts

Correct first fielder

Called 4-3, was 4-6-3 — you had the right fielder fielding it

5 pts

Correct infield category

Called any infield out, it was an infield out

Double Plays (e.g. 6-4-3 DP)

10 pts

Exact match

Called 6-4-3 DP, was 6-4-3 DP

7 pts

Correct first fielder

Called 5-4-3 DP, was 6-4-3 DP

5 pts

Called a field out, it was a double play

Baseball scoring uses numbers for fielder positions and letters for play types. Here's the quick reference:

Streak Bonus

String together consecutive correct plays to earn a streak bonus on each one. The longer your streak, the bigger the bonus. Streaks reset when you miss a play.

Your current streak and longest streak are tracked on your profile and shown on the leaderboard.

Game Modes

Solo

Score a game by yourself. Your scorecard is saved and counts toward your career stats and leaderboard ranking.

Challenge

Invite a friend with a join code. You both score the same game independently — your scorecards are revealed side-by-side in real time. Highest points wins.

Group

Multiple players join the same challenge code. Everyone scores the same game and the leaderboard updates live.
